Hi I have purchased my first centralian carpet python. I would like to know how long it takes for them to digest food? He fed 4 times with the breeder and twice with me. I feed him once a week. He has only pooed once with me, should I stop feeding him until he defecates?
Please help

how long did it take for him to crap after the first feed you gave him?. when did you last feed him?. what is your cage temps?. it can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week for mine to crap.
cheers
forgot to add yes you should wait till it craps before feeding again.(in most cases).

Well he fed for the 4th time at the breeders on a monday (19th march) and pooed about 4-5 days later. I fed him the following monday (26th march) and this monday (2nd april) again and he still hasn't pooed. His temperate is kept between 30-32 degrees....so he basically has two meals inside still.....

what did you feed it? If your really worried try soaking the snake in luke warm water only an inch or so deep for half an hour or so... then while its soaking change your substrate for some brand new stuff.. works a treat for me.

Loki, also a bredli holds his poo for a few weeks befoer he sheds,
when he was on pinky rats he didnt poo fro 10 weeks cos he was absorbing all his food.
Loki doesnt poo every time he eats these days and gets fed every 10 days, he usually goes a week or so after every second rat.
is ur snake moving normally? apparently if they are constipated they dont move the lower part of their bodies where the constipation is bothering them. Unless hes looking like something is stuck in him i wouldnt worry @ this point.
what does he eat?

Fuzzies will produce very little waste cause there isn't much fur. I would expect a poo every feed.
