Anyone got their Diamonds cooling. I know a few of us are interested in the progress so this is whats happening with Snap!
She's down to about 5.5 hours of heat a day from 9am - 2:30. Temps max in basking spot are around 31 and as low as about 22 in the coolest area.
She's in a small room with no heating, ambient temp drops to around 17 overnight. She still pops out of her log at night and doesn't wander around just has her head and a few inches of her body sticking out of her top log hide.
I feel a bit mean but then the big female who lives in the barn is perched in the top rafters and hasn't moved for nearly two weeks and this morning it was 3 degrees when I left home. So she's showing what they can handle.

She was being more and more active and took to sitting on the floor, right at the front of the cage where it is coldest. I don't know what her problem was, but it was stressing me too much seeing her be so active with no heat or food. I was worried that at the end of winter, I'd have a snake that was skin and bones so I decided to put her heater back on. The coastals are cycling with no probs, as are the waters, just this one snake who was having dificulties.

Ruby is on 4 hours heating (100w ceramic) on ceiling of enclosure, from 10am to 2pm.
She has slowed down a fair bit now, doesn’t bother much going up high for basking, maybe only for an hour or so and just hangs out quietly on the ground, some times in, some times out of hide.
Enclosure temp. was down to 14 dgr. this morning and at the moment is up to 21.5 in the middle of cage and it is 12pm.
The enclosure is 1m high
I do feel sorry for her, but as the saying goes, “you have to be cruel to be kind
Cheers Artie

Tiffany has 10-3 at the moment, highs and lows have come down a bit in the last month, 28 - 17 at night.
Last month she was even more active than usual tearing around the place, but she finaly seems to be slowing down now...

I have all my female diamonds are down to 12 degrees at night 25 degress for the day with a 8 hrs light cycle.
The male just have heat mats made myself that are self cooling as the temprature drops so do the heat mats.
