My mate, a non member, is going to cool his Diamond this year and he lives in Brisbane. He wants to know the best way to do this up here in the mild winter temperatures.
I have looked at previous threads which suggested keeping them inside/outside with no heat....is that right? Sorry if this has been advised before but I don't have much time now to surf previous threads.
Thanks for your help

Can anyone help me here? Is anyone cooling their Diamonds in Brissy? I have no idea what temperature he needs to keep him at.

Another breeder up in Rockhampton has some diamonds and he keeps them in an air conditioned room. Personally I've got no experience with them so not too sure.

If TrueBlue turns up tonight he may provide some help although he is further up north. However I would expect that if you can't cool them below brisbane winter temps then they wont be cooled. Mine are always out in 20 degree days over winter. Or should I say 'were". Or maybe even that I didn't have a diamond python.

I keep diamonds outside in Brisbane.
My diamonds are in an aviary and in the middle of winter it will
get down to zero(0) degrees at night.
So they get cold enough.
I fed my diamonds the other day for the last time till spring.
they get morning sun and they will bask pretty much daily.

Most of the success i have heard of in relation to breeding diamonds in Brisbane has been by the method JunglePython stated. In saying that, it doesn't drop to 0 degrees in many parts of SE QLD.
