Does anyone know what price the first Albino Darwin Carpets that were available for sale sold for? Were the first ones for sale Blondie's first albino clutch or later clutches? Were hets sold before albinos. Also, how much did the first lot of hets sell for?
Corey.

Don't know what the price of the first albino darwins sold for, only the buyer and seller would know that, and they probably aren't about to tell you.
I imagine the price then would be a lot higher than it is now, simple economics, early adopters of any new good or service will pay a premium price for the privelege.

Albinos( a very small number) and poss hets were sold in that first season. The first lot of hets sold were possible hets only and they sold for $2200 each.[/quote]
Really, $6600 for the first albinos. That's amazing. I was expecting a heaps bigger price tag for the first ones. I was expecting a price with an extra 0 on the end.

$6600???????
There is a 9 month female on Herp Trader now for $13,500.
The first albino Dariwn carpet sold for $6600???? I doubt it, unless you have some evidence to prove otherwise.

The question was: "Does anyone know what price the first Albino Darwin Carpets that were available for sale sold for?"
You said $6600, I disagree.

You said $6600, I disagree. So with a comment like: "Sometimes I wonder why I bother." Says you have no idea. | But how do you know he is wrong if you don't know yourself?

Isn't the price now more relevant than the price 5 years ago?

The fact that it sound dubious, is why I asked for proof or confirmation. Is there anything wrong with that?

Thanks for the response. I'm glad you did bother. I guess I just assumed it was heaps higher because usually when there isn't much of something desirable out there people pay big bucks to get it...Also the price that the albino olives go for is really high in comparison. I had in my mind that the first ones would go for 50K or even over 100K. What year did the $6600 ones sell?

If that is true yes. But who knows? I could say I bought the first albino Darwin too.
Anyway, people can believe who and what they like, I though don't belive the first (and that was the original question) Albino Darwin sold for $6600!

Albino Olives have always been about double the price of albino carpets. Breding pairs of Carpets sold last year for 50K and Olives for over 100K

What year did the $6600 ones sell? | It is possible that politics played a significant role in the price of the first albino darwins. The breeder was not the owner of blondie and he was bound by a contract which may have meant certain aspects of the price were fixed. That's my conspiracy theory anyway.
