|  | Regular Member | | | | Darwin Carpet Hi, What do you think of Darwin Carpet Pythons? I love their looks i think they are a gorgeous snake but are they good feeders, are they placid, do they get cage defensive etc. I would like to know your opinions. Thanks. ambree.

Hello ambree,
i love darwin's im hopfully getting one soon they are so beautiful!
i have heard that they can be abit bitey and that they are good feeders not sure about getting cage defenssive though, but every snake gets cage defenssive sometimes.

I have heard the further north the species is from the more likely it is to be a biter - southern cross reptiles website I think that is from.

Hi Ambree,
We have 2 from southern cross, the female is so gorgeous and never even looked like biting or striking, the male on the other hand is psycho and even bites himself when striking, he is only 2 months old and will probably grow out of it , I hope.

great snakes i love their patterns
i have a lovely 5 yr old female and she has never looked at biting me she feeds allright too sometimes just gotta play with the rat as she can take her time to get interested
