Hi I am new here. I got my first snake a Darwin carpet about 6 months ago (she's now 2 years old) and I was curious as to what would be the average lenght/girth for a Darwin this age?
She is a great handler and I will be looking for another soon now my wallet can handle it |

Depends greatly on the feeding when young im told, I would THINK, it should be atleast 5 or 6 ft.
mine is 10 months give or take and is not quite 3 ft.

Well my girl is 4 1/2 foot long and maybe 1 1/2-2 inches at her thickest. I am feeding her fuzzy rats. I am just curious cause she doesn't look like she could fit my bigger down her thin neck but they hardly leave a bulge in her midsection. I will try to post some pics soon. For a first snake I couldn't have asked for a better one, she has never even tried to strike. Your male looks very nice/clean mick. One thing I noticed on my girl is she is near black near her head and tail, while brown along her midsection. Is this common with Darwin?

Skorpious, Darwin Carpets average adult size would be 6 to 6.5 ft for males, and 7ft for females with a girth of 3 to 4 inches.
A 4.5 ft Darwin should be eating half grown weaner rats, possibly 2 to 3 per meal. You will surprised just how big a meal they fit down their throats. If you doint see a bump after they have eaten, you have underfed them.
