Darwin Carpets

Hey guys and gals
i have a female darwin carpet python and she is about 18 months old and she is about 4ft in length and is about as thick as an fifty cent piece.
I was just wondering if she should be bigger at this age or is this normal ? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated she is also on full grown adult mice which she loves and have no problem feeding her with. She gets feed once a week is that too much ??
Also i am looking to sell an enclosure that i have built but is unfinished 6ft x3ft x 2.5ft it has 8mm glass in the front but only has a fluro light and no heating. It is quite thick as it is made of 6mm MDF so is pretty heavy. Looking to sell for $400 ono. PM me if your interested.
Have Fun
I live in central victoria.

Your darwin would easily take small rats at that age. My coastal gets a fuzzy rat every two weeks.

she has one adult mouse once a week but i'm a bit unsure if she'll be able to take a rat (hopper) because her head looks a little small but if you guys think she'll be okay i'll have a go if she can't eat it will she let it go and then should i try something smaller ?
Thanks guys

You would be surprised at what they can get their heads around.

You would be surprised at what they can get their heads around. It may take a little bit to switch it over to rats though. Some times they take them straight away, other times you may need to scent the rat with the mouse.

Good luck.

My younger Darwin sounds like he's about the same size and takes a near adult mouse. I have recently weaned him onto weaner rats of a similar size. He's a fusspot! lol I've also dropped my feeds to about once a month, give or take a week. Generally you can get the idea when they are hungry and scout about looking for stuff

What part of Vic do you live in Hydro?
