being sort of new..some info would be helpful..my friend and i are in a discussion regarding the darwin carpet,is it also known as the irian jaya,as they both have the same latin name,we have both read on differnt snake sites that the darwin carpet is also known as the north western carpet and the irian jaya,,is this becuase where it is found or did some slip into the top end and this is where they get the name from..and some of the big breeding sites in the states they sell the irian jaya as is,,but doesnt mention its a darwin..now we are both confused and one of us has to be right..thanx for any info

both regarded as the same species but from different locales, ie northwest/darwins from oz and iran jaya carpets are from iran jaya/new guinea.
