You sure on its origins? Head looks very jungle like to me, havent seen many diamonds or even port macs with such a defined pattern.
Probably wrong though, ignore me

Intergrade, nice snake though, and as far as looking for a local
you are not going to get one unless the parents are wild caught
and the location noted by the breeder.
The diamond pool is a very muddied one with people calling
prety much anything with a bold yellow marking a ''diamond''

I typically stay out of these "Is this a Diamond or an Integrade" topics because despite everyones opinions, nobody really knows. What irritates me immensely though, is people who not only label it as a definite subspecies, but actually go to the lengths of putting a locality on it.
Sorry to say Pking, but I highly doubt that your snake is pure Diamond - it has very well definined saddles, and obvious dorsolateral striping, indicating that it problem has some other Morelia blood in it.

so what defines a pure diamond I've got the book keeping and breeding australian pythons and on page 228 theres a photo of a diamond python in Gosford which shows the same sort of saddling.

G'day mate,
Your snake may well be a pure Diamond... Morelia spilota sp. are incredibly variable but Diamonds are the least variable of the lot. It is hard to define what makes a pure Morelia spilota anything as they are all so highly variable within themselves.
The main reason I doubt yours is pure is because of the amount of crossbreeding the occurs between Carpets and Diamonds...it is far more likely that your snake resulted from one of these crossbreedings than from pure Diamond stock.

A top shot and a side shot of the head would be advantageous.

as mentioned unless you know the locality off the original adults it is impossible to label it with a known locale, its a nice snake but it looks to have some jungle in it.
