Hey Everyone,
Having never kept a diamond before, I just have a couple of questions.
1. With respect to Diamond Syndrome, I've heard of two main strains of thought.
One is that they require UV & the other that they require no UV but cool temps.
What's everyone's personal opinions/experience with this?
2. Also, when selecting a diamond - what makes them desirable? Is a specimen
with tighter more uniform rosettes more desirable?? I know this is a question
regarding personal preference; but I'm talking more from a commercial stand point??
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Locality data seems to be what makes them worth more and then brighter and brighter animals. I have no idea about DP syndrome.

With regards to locailty, i'd say anything other than Gosford as that's what everyone says there's are, and most likely they are not.
Diamonds have been kept indoors and bred generation after generation without UV, so IMO that rules their supposed need for UV out.
I believe if you replicate their natural temperature regime you shouldn't have any problems. Cold nights throughout Winter are a must, as are mild days (rather than hot/warm) throughout Winter.
