Diamond Pythons And Cooling! The Big Freeeze

hI,

I have some quick Q's on cooling Diamond pythons, i hope someone can help!

When do you start to cool Diamond Pythons? Age, what time of year. (Im in sydney)

How long is this period for (Roughly) when to when??

And what are peoples thoughts on the age you should start this??

I have heard when you are re heating them that you should give them a week or so of warmth and then resume feeding??

Any help or a point in the direction of an existing thread would be sweet,

Thanks

Hi,

If you look under this thread (Bottom of page) there are some old threads that talk about other ppl and what they have done. As you know you will have to gather all info and make it apply to your situation.

Cheers

A mate of mine has seven in an aviary in his backyard and they stay in the aviary all year, without heat. He gets about 100 young every year. He says he only heats the hatchys for their first winter, after that they stay outside.

Hi All,

Yeaterday i had a book turn up in the mail, KEEPING AND BREEDING AUSTRALIAN PYTHONS''. This book is fantastic and has detailed things you must adhere to if trying to Breed and even cool your pythons.

It has a detailed section on Diamond pythons and cooling/Breeding!

If you keep diamonds and any other species this is a great book to have as it breaks down all the info into something you can use.

Cheers
