Diamonds mating in Brisbane

I just went outside and found my diamonds mating.

I wonder if the recent rain has woken them up?

Has anyone else in Brisbane seen their Diamonds mating this season?

I have been told a number of people in Brisabne have had trouble breeding their Diamonds in the last few years.

This will be the third season I have tried to breed Diamonds, and
so far I have not got any eggs.

Maybe this season will be the one.

I heard about a bloke that got 24 slugs out of a 5 year old diamond last year at Karalee. Same pair of diamonds have been mating this season but no eggs or even a pre-lay shed yet.

Diamonds Mating

Hi all
Im in S.A I have two pairs of Diamonds & as of today they dont seen interested in mating.
I have put them togather three weeks ago & even put two males in.
They cooled for 3 months.
In Adelaide we have had only just a few warm days.
Its just that I have had BlackHeads, Stimpsoni & Coastals have already laid.
I havent breed any Bredli, Diamonds 0r Murray Darlings before!
Do I just keep waiting?
Do you mist the enclosure at all?
Thanks for any help recieved!
Cheers,
Jason Lapins

My Murray girl is swollen with eggs.
My Bredli seem to be mating but I have not actually
witnessed matings.

My Diamonds are in an aviary so I dont mist them
but we have had a bit of rain of late.

Yeah just keep waiting.

Ours were busted in the act between mid September to about a week ago. Since then they were spending all their time apart except for when they had to share the same basking spot so we took the male out. The female shed 4 weeks ago tomorrow which I'm hoping was a pre-lay

One pair of ours will be dropping her eggs next week! She usually lays around 30. She is kept outside in an aviary and the inside pair don't even look like they've started mating yet.
