My girlfriend wants to know how she can identify traits on our stimmies, that set them apart from childrens pythons. Post pictures if you can, thanks.

And I seem to remember even recent Coggers seem to stop at anteresia before breaking them down. In my Cogger they are all "liasis childreni". I googled it and still found nothing. But dont worry, some scientist will turn up with a proper explanation.

Here's what they say:
Children's Python pattern week or sometimes absent on adults but discernable on juveniles. Tan to reddish brown or purplish brown with numerous slightyly darker, smooth-edged,roughly circular blotches.
Stimson's Python: Pattern usually prominent and including <u>pale ventrolateral line</u>.Pale brown, yellowish brown to cream, irregularly marked with numerous darker brown to reddish brown, smooth-edged circular to elongate blotches.
Hope this helps,
Cheers, Greg. |

duga... Some species of stimmies look alot like childrens, I was just wondering if there is a big difference between them or not. Its hard to explain.

I find general apprence to be pretty different, particularly head shape, also pattern wise stimsons always have a much more defined pattern, most childreni patterns fade to a point as they get older.
