Differences in snake sizes

Hi all I have a question I've been looking at purchasing a female BHP but one thing I've noticed as there sizes vary increadibly I mean in the sense I've seen females that are 4 year old that are nearly 2metres long and then again females that are 7 years old that are only 5 - 6 foot, is there any reason for this or do they just grow at different rates or does it depend on how much they are feed, my male is 5ft long and is 20months, I seen a female the other day that is 18months and only 2ft. Also if they are only small how do you get them to catch up? sorry but havn't been able to find anything on this subject, but then again not really shore what I"m looking for

it all depends on how much and how often they are fed.

Like people they do grow at different rates. also feeding regimes make a big difference. I'm not 100% sure with bhp's but i think locality plays a big role in the sizes of this species.

If you really want a snake to catch up, increase its feed to larger and more regular feedings. but seriously, there is no real reason why a snake needs to catch up, they will get to their individual adult size eventually and you will end up with a more healthy and better looking snake in the long run. IMO

oh ok, so is it healthy to have a snake that is really small for it's age or a snake that is very large for it's age or it dosn't matter, I want my guys to get big but not at the expense of there health if this is a issue

I met a female BHP that was just under 10foot, at 3yrs of age. My male BHP is 5 and a half foot and hes only 16months old.... ive been measuring him and hes growing at almost 2cm per week!

imo with pythons, over feeding is far worse than slightly under feeding.

WOW that's huge, so have these BHP;s that are small for there age just been neglected food I have another question if anyone can help how big and how old do jungle's and breedli need to be to breed as I'm looking at them as well but would prefer to get a pair that is ready to breed this year if possible, I seen some nice one's on URS website and they said there yearlings and around the 95cm so how long would they take before they could breed, sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to get my head around it all
