dimond python

hello iv got a 11 mounth old dimond python and would like to no how often do they shed there skin?and when they get big do they still need a hide cave or are they out all the time?

it depends on how much you feed it, the more you feed, the more he will shed, less food, less shedding. and when they are big, its always best to have a hide box if you can. shouldn't matter how big, they need their security

Hi Brian,

I got my (now) 2 year old Diamond Python about a year ago and she has shed approximately every 2 months. I feed her once every two weeks and didn't 'cool' her during winter.

As for the hide, that'll pretty much come down to your snake's personal preference. Mine likes to use hers when she's in 'ambush' mode. And I'll find out where she wants to brumate when I cool her this year ...
