Except for the initial shock, the pain really didn't rate a mention. Their teeth are so fine and they all hook in at the same time you don't really feel the puncture just the pressure of the jaws with a few pin pricks. their jaw pressure is minimal, their hooked teeth do more to hold onto the prey then pure bite pressure.
If curious, scent you hand with rat and wave it about in it's cage!  lol
