Temp is a little different, these weren't actually normal feeding times, not deliberate ones that is, these are 'Temp feeding times', he just takes every opportunity to leap on something warm and start chewing. None of my other snakes do this. *phew*

not to be a party pooper, but your pics bring back nasty memories, it often concerns me the laidback attitude some keepers have to bites. like other animals, including humans, bites can cause serious infections. I had a bite from a water python when i was 14 which lead to a staff infection, destroyed two jionts in my index finger and 3 months in hospital. 12 years later i still only have 40% movement in one joint and the other is completely fused. This has not dampened my herp enthusiasm, but just made me more aware of being bitten.

You aren't pooping on any party, no one said bites were safe or fun. They are however, part of herp keeping.

Before learnt about herps I was always told that pythons are not venomous but they do have a bacteria equal to venom that couild kill you.
although i believe this is true with Komodo Dragons I believe that it is untrue with pythons since they do not eat carion (I hope this is spelt correctly, well i mean decaying meat anyway), but I also regonise that pythons irregualy brush their teeth or floss so i guess there would be some type of bacteria living in there mouth.
Is this anything to worry about?
Does anyone sanitise there bites?

Base2aau...you're right- most snakes don't eat carrion (IE: Food thats been by the side of the road rotting for weeks) (there are some Exotic snakes that do eat 'dead' prey-but thats not really relevant here)
You should treat a snake bite the same way you would a dogs bite. If it penetrates enough to make you bleed, its enough to allow infection in. So anyone who gets tagged should take precautions to avoid that happening.
You might just leave the bite a hundred times but that one hundred and first bite could wipe you out. Some old time herpers will tell you not to be a crybaby- they've been bitten a million times and they're not dead.....YET...it only takes one bite to get you sick as- and it is possible to die (however rare) from an infection from a bite (or any other wound for that matter).
You should ALWAYS clean and dress a bloody wound. Even if it is only with a Wiggles or Hi-5 bandaid
*giggling out loud*
