clicl clacks

they are just plastic containers with the little thingys on the side to hold the lid down - i think woollies brand is 'stigma' or 'stima' basically any container with latching sides.

hope this helps

I see lots of people say this, but I have kept a male MD in a 6x2x2 since I got him. He was approx 3 months old when I got him and he has never seemed to have a problem with that size enclosure. He has always eaten, always explored it, climbs on the branches, he gets around the whole enclosure quite happily. He has never been snappy when I take him out of the enclosure. He sits out on his basking log quite happily, mostly at night time, but now we are heading into winter he seems to prefer it in the mid morning/early afternoon, I guess that is to do with his natural cycle.

He has hides up the hot end, cool end and in the middle, as well as a couple of peices of pvc pipe to hide in. He usually goes in the hide up the hot end for a few days after a feed, then he can be found anywhere.

When I am cleaning his enclosure I put him in a click clack and he seems to not like it, he hides under the newspaper but as soon as I lift the lid off of it he is wanting to get out.

He is now 15 months old and is still as happy as ever.

This was my first snake and maybe my next experience will be different so I am not saying either way is wrong or right, just sharing what I have found in this case.

for stimsons no you just need a heat mat a few hides and a thermostat to maintain heat also a thermometer to tell you if the humidity in the enclosure is too hot/cold
the humidity on the hot side should be 30-32 dec c amd cold side should be around 26
also you only pit the heat mat under a quater of the click clack

haha lol get a very placid one, and it wont bite, they have no poison and they are stranglers, mine is an extremely strong one but all are different, yes that will be fine is it plastic, if you want a big enclosure put a lot of hides in like i have 4 hides, i also make my own out of clay

that will be alright just as long as you have a heap of hide for the little feller but i wouldnt recomend having it out of a clickclack for the first year of its life...they like to be in confined areas and will fret if they dont feel secure stop eating etc.. any bites...just take pics if their is blood lol

I think you mean a HYGROMETER to tell you if the humidity is too high/low or a THERMOMETER to tell you if the temps are too high/low.

Personally though i don't think a hygrometer is needed but each to thier own.

Cheers,
Ish
