Coastal carpets, Morelia spilota mcdowelli are only found on the east coast of Australia, from roughly about Coffs Harbour up to Cape York, so he's just decided to throw the 'Eastern' in for his own reasons.

Coastal carpets have a few names, mainly "Coastal carpet" and "Eastern carpet". They mean the same thing.

In WA there are different locality carpets and some are referred to as coastals for obvious reasons. So Eastern coastal isn't that dumb.

-Peter, do you mean that you have wild coastal carpets? Or just that they are available for purchase?

snakey_cj, you can check google for markings and variations on coastals and inlands. A picture would really help. Also, how old is the snake? Snakes look much different as young.
