Hi guys!
i have never read anything on feeding your snakes eggs/chicken etc.etc. is this ok to do as it seems like a natural food for them in the wild and i could not see any harm in this only positives in that they must be full of goodness,Or are my thoughts completely misguided??
2:How do snakes generally handle music? i havent had the cds on in case it freaks him out so i have moved him upstairs into one of the spare bedrooms but he definately gets some sounds and vibrations out of it..
3:The weather will be getting quite hot here over the next few months(North QLD) and i'm wondering if turning off the heat pad is necessary +the glo light and does my snake need like a fan or something or am i just being overprotective of him?? could any north QLDers respond to this part as i could use the relevant info..Also is there any good reptile shops or breeders between Mackay and Townsville? would really love to know and maybe have a beer you guys.
Cheers.

Okay. Don't worry mate you wont send your snakes deaf as they cannot hear you but can feel the vibrations.
I believe in the wild some snakes will eat a bird and it's eggs but i have never heard of anybody that feeds eggs to their snakes. Maybe the easter bunny

Forget the fan, just use a thermostat to prevent over heating.

Great to hear that he's not going to go deaf, i'll still turn the base down abit though..Hey MattQLD83 whats the thermostat going to do when it hits 32 degrees and 95% humidity??? does it have a cooling mechanism attached to it? also would still love to know about pros and cons on the egg feeding question as i think the yolk has to be good for them..or am i going to give him a choleserol problem??

Eggs wont hurt your snake, lots of snakes and lizards eat them and chicken is also fine, whole chickens not drumsticks or just parts.
A fan will cool the cage down but 32 isn't a problem for them as long as they aren't in direct sunlight.

Eggs wont hurt, but they will stink!
A fan will not cool the cage down if it's 32C, it will just move air around - snakes don't sweat!
Most people up here just turn the heat off for summer, or only have it on briefly in the morning and evening.
