hi there
as i have posted a few times b4
im getnig a bredli
just wondering wat do ppl recommend is the perfect size i should get the enclosure
everyone seems to recommend 50% of the size of the snake
but im after sumfin once off
wat you guys reckon? 1200x600x600 ,,, should it be higher for them to climb?
-2 huge vents in back
-2 small vents in front
-thermostat in center
-2bolbs
-1tube light
-thinking of putting a fan on oneside to make airflow betta (is it needed?)
can sumone plz care to help to explain me about the lightings and wat they do>?
seems to be so many different types
wats UV fluro tube light do?
and the 2 other globe i heard there are one for night or day sumfin like that?
for the 1st year i wont be changing much of the temp
but i hear after that you will have day and nite setting
should i get the enclosure with a timer?

that size will be fine depending on the size of the snake you are getting if its a young snake you may need to put it into a click clack, the vents should be fine. Put the heat lights up one end and same with the thermostat keep it the same side as the lights, so it can move into the heat when it wants, no need for a fan it might do more damage than good if the snake gets into it, and there is no need for a uv light but you can put one on if you want.
hope that helps

Your getting a hatchling yeah?
I think that size would be fine, make sure you glue in your front air vents (they can pop them out!), also put a strip of card board between where the 2 pieces of glass slide. i would recommend a little hide rock for a small snake. It will probably spend most of its time under the rock anyway.

uv lights are more for lizards dragons ect, but pythons come out at night so you dont need them. what state are you in? im in vic and i use a 40watt glob thats on for about 10-12 hours a day and have them turned off a night and in summer i use a 25 watt glob. if the temp in my snake room gets above 30 i turn all lights off.
i just use blue party globs $1.10 each

bb, i use 60 watt party globes. i also have a young bredli and have bought a 150 by 60 by 60 for her. i hear females can get a bit bigger, so thats why i got the slightly larger enclosure. but was told that 120 was fine.

You'd prob be better off getting the enclosure you're thinking of, bt its not going to be the best bet for your hatchie. Its too big for such a small snake, and it will spend most of its time hiding becuase it doesnt feel safe.
Large tupperware container, holes in lid(small) and a heat mat will work spectaqctularly till she's too big for it, and a well established snakey, when she can go into the larger enclosure. Doent matter though, its just she might feel in danger in such a large enclosure until she's abit bigger, and you wont have much opportunity to observe her (other then how well she hides)

or u could get the enclosure u looked at but keep ur youngun in a click clack/tupperwarre container inside the bigger enclosure. that way u have the temps thermostatically controlled and only the one expense. (no need for heat mats etc, unless u were always going to use them.) and your little snake still feels secure.
