Escaped snake

Hey guys, the new baby snake i got yesterday has seemed to escape out of its enclosure. I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with some ideas on how to find him or what type of places a snake might hide. ive had the cat inside all day so i hope its still alive.

get your cat out of there. Put a warm spot somewhere with food, sprinkle sand or powder around the place to make tracks. turn your enclosure inside out it might be under the paper or something

It will be very close to it's enclosure, most likey on the floor. Do a careful and thorough search of the entire room and you should find him.

they almost always dont go far at first,

Mine got out the other day and found him that night in a thermostat box amoungst the cord of it (new in box ). we'd turned the house upside down and set warm spots before i found him! the box was directly under his enclosure!

Also try under any cupboards, etc.
If you have a clothes drawer, pull out the bottom draw and feel around in the corners

When pulling the draws out though be very very careful... Sometimes the will climb in from the back and slip in under the draw section..... One of mine did that...

Also check near any electrical appliance that might be on standby near the enclosure... As they can head for them because of the warmth generated.....

Good Luck.....

OK thanks alot everyone. Its a bit annoying but im gonna have to go to sleep without finding him now. I have been stressing out so much but i just hope one of the other animals havn't killed him or he isnt gonna die. I only bought him yesterday and he already escaped. I have checked everywhere. and i mean everywhere. Ive spent like 3 hours now pulling absolutley everything apart. He is defently not in the room with the enclosure. Ive looked under the fridge and all the other big electrical stuff, ive looked under and inside all the cupboards. I have seriously looked everywhere and i can not find him. He hasn't had a meal in 3 weeks and hes so small that its a real worry. Thanks again for all your help!

depending on your type of fridge i wouldnt be surprised to find him up in the motor prtector area on top of it .

If he is that small to get out of the enclosure, he will pretty much fitt any where.

Try using sand across an area, this will give you an indication of movement.

Hope for the best on this one good luck with it
