Escapee, but luckily located!

Last night I had a strange dream that my BHP escaped from her cage, I even woke up and went to check on her during the night. This morning she was still in her cage however, I was horrified when I got home from dropping the kids at school to see that she escaped!!! (FREAKY!) I frantically rang my hubby to send the apprentice home to help me looked and quickly called my brother as another set of eyes. My heart had sunk and I was sure she was gone, our garage has gaps where she could have gone outside! Searching high and low I found her under my camera bag on top of my other BHPs cage! Relief! The gap she got out of was probably only 4mm thick - I don't know how she did it - I should have called her houdini! How ever do they get through these little gaps, she is 10 months old and of decent size, I just can't imagine her head even fitting through such a small gap!! Lesson learned!

That's a beautiful BHP. If I end up getting one, that's exactly how I want it to look.

lovely BHP *drools*, lucky you found her so soon
I would hate to find an empty tank... i can't believe they can fit through something as small as 4mm! ...I always run my fingers around the seal of the lid after i close it just to make sure its secure cos i'm all paranoid (i have a 9mnth old carpet).

I know, I'm always careful to check for any gaps and am over cautious! I thought That'll never happen to me cause I check they're cages all the time! Never say never!!
