Hi guys,
This may have been addressed previously, but has anyone used F10 SC as an enclosure disinfectant? It's pretty expensive stuff, but reported as being very effective and reptile friendly.
Basically, I want to know if I should fork out and buy it, or continue to use cheaper off-the-shelf alternatives like good old dettol , diluted bleach or repticlean?
Any advice/experience appreciated.
Cheers.

I got mine from www.chemicalessentials.com.au and it cost $90 /litre delivered to my door.
Alot of vets use it for disinfecting benches n stuff. I use Retilklean to wipe out enclosures, then disinfect with F10 by spraying and letting it dry. The vet recommended letting it air-dry as opposed to wiping. You can also spray it on your hands after washing them to disinfect your hands. The stuff kills Parvo virus so it must be pretty good.

yeah, it's just always difficult to measure how effective any disinfectant is. I mean, unless you swab surfaces and do bacterial counts, I guess we're all just assuming that the stuff is working.
I don't mind the cost, I just want to know thst it works and it's safe. I also havent got the luxury of having heaps of spare cages to put snakes in, so I can't air every enclosure for an hour after I clean them. Apparently F10 doesn't require a long time to dissipate and the snakes can be put back is less time.
Anyway, sounds positive so far. I'll order some.
Thanks for the feedback - very much appreciated.

Just have a bit of a google for F10SC and F10SC Performance.
You can guarantee that someone has already done the measuring for ya.
