Very nice little fella though.....just watch out for your fingers...........don't want him to end up getting the wrong pinky............

Two of my diamonds are sooks when feeding and will gently take the food like that .... the third one does strike and i keep forgetting which one , so may need some new tongs , before i get caught out by the wrong one

Yeah our 2 diamonds are sooks too.... but if our girl is hungry she usually hits it hard but she's never overshot and missed her rat!! Sometimes she likes us to sit it in her tree and she'll go and stalk it for an hour... 
Oh and when we feed her something small (like chickens) she's ever sooooo gentle!! She'll come right up to it and open her mouth then she chomps down hard as if she's killing it... 
But all in all we've not needed to use tongs to feed ours!
Although the other night feeding our recently new male it was my first go and I was thinking... hmmm is it a good idea without tongs...  ... but he was just as gentle, although he did hit the rat as he was hungry! He deserved it as he's been servicing our female and we are crossing our fingers the jobs done!!!
Mel can't wait to see pics of him now he's shed!
Have fun and enjoy those 2 babies of yours they are gorgeous!
