Ok, I could not find the right size frozen rats so I got what they had, a item that was twice the size of anything she had eaten. I debated for a few weeks on wether to feed her the small adult rat bout 5-6 inches long. I saw her looking for food tonight, so I offered her and she took it, was a longer time to get it down, but I was amazed that she could eat it. Man Snakes are great, I am still a newbie at this, but once I have the cash will definately be buying more coastals.

People greatly underestimate the size of food their animals can take. You hear of 5-6 foot carpets still on adult mice. They should be on adult rats, and would easily eat an adult domestic cat...

I know, I feel that I was underfeeding my snake. Since the Item is larger should I give more time between feeds? I usually wait till she has crapped to then offer more food, is this ok? No problems so far.

Good point ack. The thing is I have read and been told that they may have trouble feeding when they have crap in them as they may feel full.

Moses, I feed my adult females every week and my adult males every 2 weeks right throughout summer. The only time they do not eat is if they are about to shed. The only time crapping would stop them eating is if they were constipated for some reason.
