Gday guys,
I am wondering if i am feeding my BHP's properly. I have been getting some conflicting ideas and would appreciate some opinions on what I am doing please.
Here's my situation-
Female- 5.5 months old, 1180mm long, 500 grams in weight
Feeding record for last two mnths- 5/4 weighed 350 gms
5/4 ate two adult mice
12/4 ate two adult mice
15/4 ate i adult mouse and 1 fuzzy mouse
18/4 ate two adult mice
23/4 ate i adult mouse and 1 rat 65gms
27/4 ate " " " " " "
12/5 ate 1 rat 90 gms
23/5 ate 1 rat 90 gms
Male- 5.5 mnths old, 1040mm long, weight 420 gms
Feeding record for last two months- 5/4 two adult mouse and weighed290 gms before eating
12/4 two adult mice
15/4 1 adult mouse, 1 fuzzy mouse
18/4 ate two adult mouse
23/4 ate 1 adult mouse, 1 rat 65gms
27/4 weighed 370gms
27/4 ate 2 rats 65gms
13/5 ate 2 adult mice
23/5 1 rat 90gms
This was their last feed, they have always pooed between feeds, both in good health and very active, temps are good and they have plenty of room to get away from heat if desired. The BHp's just seem to have a real fast metabolism and are always hungry.
I know they can have tendency to carry to much fat and don't want them to.
At the moment they dont look fat at all and have good muscle tone and strength, but i have been told that nearly 4 ft is too big for a BHP of this age,
Opinions please,

Seems that they are growing at a steady pace not overly fast.Aim for 8 weeks between sloughs and adjust feeds either way accordingly.
