Feeding luck.

I just fed four snakes - a pair of 7 mth Cheynei and a pair of 20 month Childrenii- 2 small mice for the Cheynei and 2 velvet rats for the Childrenii.
Bang bang bang bang all gone no problems. My diamonds are the same (when not cooling).
The only snake that won't eat on his own is a hatchling coastal with no tongue that i have to assist feed. When you read about the problems some keepers are having with feeding snakes, I was wondering how many of you just put food in with your snakes and it is gone with no problems?

stay well everyone.

RE: Feeding luck.

generally all mine are like that, but in winter my stimmies go off their food regardless of temps, they just don't want it

RE: Feeding luck.

Both my snakes will eat all through winter. My stimmie doesn't need to be tempted by wiggling the rat, he's straight onto it. My coastal on the other hand still needs the fuzzies to be wiggled.

All my of snakes always eat...always...Lol.
Not when they're burmating of course.
But They can be blue as blue or as full as full (well when I decide the lump is big enough ) and they always seem to want more.

Pretty lucky also, all but one good feeder, a Diamond. He was born a twin in Dec 03 and started feeding by himself just six weeks ago. Took his first fuzzies tonight! I did have a Murray Darling that was very difficult to feed for the first year, no problems now though.
A snakes tongue is a pretty important piece of equipment, not having one would make things difficult you'd reckon.
Cheers
BD.
