you did the right thing but i would try to avoid feeding mice to your snake as much as possible. Rats, quails, rabbit kittens would be your best choice really. Cheers Rev

Hijacking for a minute here - what's the difference between rats and mice to a snake?

This is a really bad photo of it, but it is the only one I have at the moment. I have noticed that the neck area is much smaller than the body though.
One thing I did notice tonight though, As soon as it heard we were at the cage, it came out of its hiding box and came to the glass as if looking for more food. Obviously does not have a problem with appetite.

i heard that rats carry more fat, dont know for certain but i have BHPs and heard that rats can put extra fat around their hearts that they arent meant to have,In some cases caused death. BHPs are usually reptile eaters in wild though.Sorry for hijack.

Just a suggestion pink angel but if it is your first snake it's probably better not to dangle the food in the enclosure. Instead sit it somewhere you know it'll find it.
Unless your handling it fairly frequently you may find it mistaking any moving object as food.

Try rats it will be easier to feed when it is bigger.
Bit hard to tell the size from the pics, how big is it?
Just a suggestion you really should think about getting a light cover for those globes.
