feeding it a rat pinkie is even better than a mice pinkie because the snake mite of gottin use to eating mice and then wen it gets bigger u would of had to feed it a heap of adult mice but u feed it on rats so thats even better

well this all depends on the size and the temps that the snake is in.

I personally think that it may actually be not enough.

Feeding on a pinkie rat, it is more than likely a small snake, and thus will metabolise the food quicker.

All of my small snakes i feed once a week to once every 10 days.

as they get bigger and can cope with bigger foods, also as the heating changes, their food regime changes.

Depends on the age and size of your snake. A pinky rat is ok if it's still a juv and probably better than a pinky mouse if it's size is able to handle it, but i'd be looking at once a fortnight. I would then move up the size of the rat as it grows.

Check the wiki as I think it still has guidelines for feeding your herp based on size.

i would shorten the feed times a bit. however without seeing pictures and size of your snake, it is only a guess

yeah... i'd be leaning more towards the 10 day feedings

If you can and think the snake can handle it, try and get him/her onto small fuzzy rats, more nutrition in them again

So your saying it would be better to feed my snake a small fuzzy rat every 10 days. Insted of a pinky rat every 3 weeks isnt that a big jump will it handle that.
THANKS

normally the breeder will only feed them minimum that they need as more so when they have alot of mouths to feed. 2 pink rats at a time every 10 days would be ideal until it gets a bit of girth then jump up to a fuzzy. but dont go back to mice diamonds can be a real pain to get onto rats
