it wiil depend on how your enclosure is layed out
to its size and what you have in it, you should have 2 hides
one in the warm end and one in the cooler end , that way the python
can regulate the level of heat that it wants

I feed my stimi at night at about the time that his lights trun off. and only once a week although I am starting to streach this out a bit as I have increaced her meal size and she is now nearly 2 years old.
Some people say that you should have an unevean feed patten ie. 7 days then 10 days then 8 days then 6 days but it is realy trial and error. but do not feed to close together (less than 5 days as this can create big problems.
I aggree with Beeman a hide at each end is a good idea I have a clay plant pot ant one end and a rock to hide behind at the other. but you can be creative as you want with hides I have one that was made in a hurry out of a light globe box and my centrialian carpert loves it. so simple but it has every thing they he wants and it makes him feel safe.

As long as she is eating, then it doesnt matter when or how often(with in reason), if she stops eating, then u can try feeding at night or rasing heat, etc. and dont get too worried if it doesnt wat once or twice, my female stimmy hasnt eaten in about 6 months

well, most would say no less that every 4 or 5 days.
But when i bought my first snake, the guy showed me him eat (live mind you) and he had eaten just the day before, not to mention he was about 2 months old...
also it would depend on the meal size...

and another question do i have to wait for it to poo before giving it another feed. my stimson is 6 months i was told to feed once a week he is due tomorrow but i was just told by pet shop not to feed unless he has pooed i don't even know what to look for? I'll add the webpage of my enclosure so you can see basiclly the set up.the heat light is on the left side of the cage about 10 cm off the glass. ventalation is at the back i have a hide rock just to the north east of the heat light about 15 cm the temp reaches 34 degrees on the closest point of the rock to the heat. i have the water bowl about 15-20 cm behind the heat and a rock hard up on the glass on the right against the wall for the cooler spot. he comes out at night very active i did get him out yesterday morning and he felt a bit cool the temp dropped a fair bit in the house that night last night he felt ok. when i checked thermometre (10cm to right on floor of heat light) it said 27 dgrees and went up to 32 degrees at around lunch at the very back of enclosure its about 25 degrees. i'm so new to this and i'm scared i'm going to stuff something up and hurt the poor fella.
