i feed mine when it was about to shed and it started sheding straight after

Get yourself some monitors. They love decaying dead even regurgitated rats. Absolute garbage disposals and very beautiful animals.

of course its your decision! i was just giving my opinion that i wouldnt waste them and that myself and many others have never had any problems..... its rare to have shedding problems from having a feed in them, im not saying it doesnt happen..... just that the chances are very slim
