i feed mine when it was about to shed and it started sheding straight after

I think its safe to say it is my decision to feed them or not, as the keeper and my decision was based on the complication that can arise from feeding snakes large food items when it is in the process of shedding....  |

Get yourself some monitors. They love decaying dead even regurgitated rats. Absolute garbage disposals and very beautiful animals.
