(drumroll) My 6 month old honey jungle python, Tash, finally fed last night after 9 weeks of stress and worry!
And what a hoot it was! She was lying on her vine so I "walked"the mouse up to her, she struck at it and immediately wrapped herself around it. Mission accomplished I think.
Then she hangs down from the vine with the mouse still in her jaws and commences to eat whilst hanging upside down! It took her nearly 15 minutes but the whole feed was done upside down.
When she'd finished she gave me the royal burp (I know she's repositioning her jaws but my kids reckon she's burping) and then slinked back to her cave. Show over.
Now I can back to worrying about "normal"things.......
