Finally after a long time of waiting i have my childrens python.
I was still deciding on a carpet or a childrens python and went around the petshops to look for cages etc. one shop gave me the name of a snake handler. i gave him a call and on the phone he gave me a lot of info and with him i decided on a childrens python which he had 15 orso hatchlings of. when i went there to have a look at the snakes he gave me a lot more info they were beautifull little snakes. i only had to wait for my licence to come in the mail that luckily was 2 orso days later and gave him a call if i could pick up the snake(i called her NEPHTHYS goddess of night and death suitable name eh ) when i was there he showed me around all the snakes he has that he uses for the talks etc like a taipan brownsnake copperhead tigersnake etc that was really cool cause ive never seen those snakes that close up in real life just on pics. and he invited me to come help him clean the cages etc. im gonna do that next month so that will be a very good experiance. im sure im not allowed to touch the snakes thats a bit too dangerous.
see ya

im really glad for you that you have found someone to show you the ropes and give you some hands on experience -
when i think about how far my understanding of reptiles has come over the years, i just reflect on the fact that i would not be where i am now without the tonnes of reading and also the expert help of some who were willing to take on a newbie -
its not an easy job so i commend this keeper for his generosity.
