so, this time i pulled everything out of his enclosure and soaked it all in boiling water, sprayed TOD etc. then while trying to return my little guy to his home he decided to stop by at the drive through for a snack. this is the first time i have posted bite pics, sorry there wasn't more blood.
for my fellow newbies, if u look closely at the scales around the snakes eyes and nose, you can see some of the damage caused by the mites. |

It's also a good idea to spray all around the cage, behind it, under it etc etc to ensure you get all of the wanderers. Repeat a few times over the next few weeks and hopefully you'll get on top of the little buggers.
