First Shed

I've had my little Children's python for just over 5 weeks now and I knew she was due for a shed any day but I got a real fright this morning. I picked up the hide where I knew she'd be and as I lifted it off her, I saw something attached to her. To start with I didn't know what it was, but then I realised it was her freshly shedded skin.

It was a bit damp and I was just wondering if it's like this when it's first shed off, or had she been in her water dish?

I've checked her over and she seems to have shed the lot and she's looking really great.

In my learning, the frist time my bredli shed, I watched the whole thing (on a Friday night, better than the footy) and she never went near the water dish just it came off in one go, and when she finished I picked it up and it was 'damp'. It dries quick also, so if you wanted to keep it shape it how you want to.
Mine is going into shed again, third time since I have had her. So can't wait.

So all normal...that's good to know.

I was waiting to see her eyes go cloudy but I missed it. I fed her on Sunday and I don't disturb her at all for a few days after so it must have happened then.

when the skin is fresh it is damp but doesn't take long to dry up.
