i have a 8 mth old stimmie he is about 45cm long. i was worried about feeding him to big a size meal. what size should he be eating ( pinkies, fuzzies, or wieners??)also how often Ive been told 1 every 7 to 10 days, he would eat a lot sooner if given the chance . i could only get pinkeys last week so i gave him 2 of them because they looked so small. . will he only eat if hungry or if i feed him more often will he need to go and see jenny Craig???

I have a stimson that is 9 months old, and about 60cms long, he eats 2 pinkie rats every 7-10 days now.
Iv read too that the appropriate sized food is double their head width. Guess thats about rite for what all my guys are feeding on.

My childreni were feeding the same amount at the same age and I dont think theyre fat, or out of proportion in any way. I wonder if theres even such a thing as overfeeding whilst they are still growing. Am inclined to think theres more chance of obesity in older snakes that arent as active, but I could be totally wrong...

my 7 1/2 month old spotted mac eats a pinky rat once a week and she will take more often if i offered her
