they can grow to about 12 foot long and with any snake temprament varies. Mine is generally friendly but exhibits a nasty streak from time to time, and has been a pain in the neck to get feeding, even after several months.

ummm my advice would be.... get one get one get one!!! lol..... my two are gorgeous but as gaara said they do have a little nasty streak from time to time.... orlan the girl will let you know when shes hungry.... so if anything goes in her enclosure when shes got the muchies.... well i dont think i need to explain.... lol
but they are lovely snakes.... make sure u dont overfeed as they are prone to being overweight.... also my girl wont eat anything but chicken.... and ive tried everything but i dont mind really....
hope that helps....

both my olives are very friendly, but i make sure to use a hook when removing them from their cages, they can easily mistake your fingers for food when reaching into their cage! both mine are very good eaters on rats, although one still prefers a bit of chicken down feathers on the head of the rat before he will take it! they are my fav python! they look great just after a shed!
cheers,
jimmyd

They are a great snake, they can be aggressive. They do get very big and have a great appetite, some can be fussy as to what they eat. They do look great and have plenty of personality. A large Olive will need a large enclosure, say 10 foot long I would house in a 6 foot by 3 foot by 3 foot enclosure.

They would make a good second snake as long as you get a hatchy, that way your experiance can grow as the snake grows.

Never had one my slef but my brother had a big olive a few years ago , was at least 10 foot and very heavy bugger , was one of the friendliest snakes but at times would get real grumpy .You just had to be sure to get him out in a good mood hehe
Very stubborn too .

BREDLI.... sorry i get a little bit excited about them... they grow alot slower than olives and are stunning in thier own right... probably looking at about 200-350 for a normal form or if ur after a hypo you'd be looking at 500+ personally i like the normal ones better but they have an awesome temperment and loads of personality (zenn's nickname is stoner lol).... they're awesome you wont be disappointed!!!
