Talking FOUND!!! After 5 months

Well, long after giving up the search for my baby male stimson I had a knock on the door from the people who live across the road and 3 doors up. Their 7 year old son had found a snake and knowing we keep reptiles came to ask us about it.

My husband made the passing comment that we had a snake escape about 5 months ago. We showed him my 3yr old male and our neighbour said "it looks like that but smaller" so then we showed him the sister of our escapee. "That's what it looks like" he said.

Lo and behold, I went to take a look at the snake they had caught and it was my beautiful baby boy. How is that for a lucky day to find a yearling stimson python 5 months after he escapes. Perfectly healthy and has escaped the neighhbours cats, all the birds and wasn't run over crossing the road.

So lesson for the day is never give up hope and sometimes luck is on your side!!!

Needless to say I am an extremely happy girl tonight.

I know, can you believe it!!!!!

He has put on a sizeable amount in both girth and lenght. His patterning has also defined with his obvious sheds.

He is now back under lock and key and was surprisingly really chilled out when handled.

The boy who found him was out looking for lizards at the time when he came across him curled up in the smallest hole between their brick and wooden fences. Lucky the kid has amazing eyesight. I have promised him pick of the bunch when I have my first breeding successes with him.

Yay for me, I am so stoked!!!!!
