Ok it sounds like I'm a maniac, Kellie is enjoying watching her eat it. The head has gone down the mouth now.

A very inexperienced person so please don't make fun of me.

it happens, won't be a problem. i'm sure it happens in the wild. My childrens does it occasionally when he bites the middle of the mouse and wraps the head up so he can't find it.

thanks guys. She has gone back into her warm hide after I put it back inside her terrarium, Kellie couldn't believe I was doing that with Tara watching me. I wasn't scared of doing that she jsut watched me and once I closed the glass door she moved on over and found her hole and went inside. It was amazing to see her fit her "rat body" through the hole in the box that I got from her breeder, I find it easy to open the end and slip her onto my hand when I want to handle her and she is happy too. One minute it was just in her mouth and then it was about 6cms further down. Amazing!!

My first ever snake did this, the first ever time I fed it. I had a panic attack too cause I'd also been told it's dangerousBut he seemed alright afterwards...

hehe i've just graduated my childreni to weaner mice (she's about 9 months) and she had her mouse-fattened back half sticking out of her favourite hide this morning.

she's also taken a few feeds backwards - mostly pinkies earlier on - but didn't seem to have any probs. she also managed to grab a pinkie and drop it in her water bowl once, then proceed to try and eat it underwater... very funny to watch as she kept looking confused about why her mouth was wet

I really had a laugh at the antics of your childreni. Trying to picture her eating the mouse from her water dish. My girl seems quite alright but it did scare me. Trying to do the right thing by her and her breeder. I held her for about 40mins last night and she was quite happy to explore my glasses and my head as I sat watching Home /Away. I am usually worn out after holding her as she just doesn't sit quietly in my hands. I'd love to watch her explore the lounge room or the office but she's still too tiny for that can easily get lost in this room.
