Sure it did just like the little hatchy of mine that won't eat so I tried opening his mouth and he clamped onto my finger

Python bites are never as bad as they first look. All that blood - one wash under the sink and you don't see anything then till the next day. My 6 yr was very proud of her first bite. She got bit by a yearling peed herself laughing. Couldn't see any blood but after her shower you could see where it got her and she was so proud
