Extremely rare in captivity 'on the books'. I'm sure they are very commonly kept illegally though.

I've had one in my care over winter and will be released shortly. I posted pics a while ago. Skink eaters though and feeding him was hard as i had to get friends to collect little skinks. i dont thave them around my place.

Simone.

People say all sorts of strange things! Not just this species, but its entire genus is restricted to the east coast

This species is not at all well suited to captivity, it'll never be commonly kept or make a good pet. The small elapids are becomming popular lately... I'm sure everyone will realise soon enough how much trouble they are (Yes, I know there is the odd person here and there with a few that have settled in well, that's great, I'm happy for you).

ive come across them, they are such a funny little snake,i made freinds with one, they mock strike at you it so gay LOL
as there mouth is closed .
they appear to not actually bite
i would keep one except they arnt commonly availiable
and you would have to feed them little skinks which would be a pain in the ***
but they are facinating,

but bandy bandys are another funny little elapid
the way they move across open ground is quite cute
and when they coil them selves into loops
its quite puzzling why they do this
