Unhappy Good Nights Always Get Bad

well to start of with,
met up with some friends and had dinner at the club , about 7 :30, went to the headland because we were board then we wandered don the boat ramp in the scrub, came across a massive diamond python est ( 9ft ) laying across a speedhump, stopped the car to check him out, beautiful patterns, girlfriend said pick him up and ill take a photo, so i TRIED. As soon as i touched him he flung around and struck at me 2 or 3 times , gf **** herself, the it took off into the the bush and dissapeared.

about 20 mins later was at Mcdonalds, saw another mate who just bought a suzuki sierra, so he asked me and 2 other friends if we wanted to come check out this new 4X4 track he found so we took off up there driving around a bit, did a really really sharp turn , fliped the car ended up on its roof, couldnt get out for about 5 mins, eventually got out and got a lift to hospital.

i have a very badly jarred hip from the seatbealt and a bit of whiplash in my shoulder.

but too be quite honest im more ****ed about not getting a photo of that beautiful diamond.

cheers cody

Spoken like a true herper!
Sorry to hear about..that sucks.
But look at it from a positive perspective.. you could have accidently run over the snake..or it could have been a brown snake or something that would have hurt more.
Hope you feel better soon.

Well sounds like a good night out, just think you'll be telling story's about that one for years to come. The snake will grow and the sierra will become a suped-up patrol.

Yup, hand winch, tie it round a tree or use another vehicle if there's no tree and just winch it to the balance point and it'll flip up.

Get 3 or 4 mates and use man power.

The best way is to make sure you have a winch on each side so it doent slam down and do some mechanical damage, if you cant get the equipment get your local SES people out to help, we are good for things like that its good training.

And then SES will do a dash roll, and remove the roof for free
