Hello All,
With recent Ads on gtp's (for sale)with their pricing and availability, it's looking promising for people who would like to get their hands on some.
The slight downturn on the economy plays a big role or is it becoming more common?
A couple of people that i know personally (who breeds gtp's)has mentioned that they finding the demand for them drop from last seasons stock.
What are your thoughts

There's now a lot of people keen for some, but wont pay $5000 for them.
When they drop down a couple of grand for established babys, you'll find they'll sell like hot cakes again. |

Gender: | | | | The price will drop, though very slowly, there would be a percentage of people with that sort of money opting to buy albino Darwins instead, they would of put some pressure on the GTP market of late, but due to their enigma, I wouldn't expect the GTP market to crash at all, just slowly drop over many years.

| | | | hi there members. well personally i have a different view.
i feel that there are so many non native greens available that there will be some spectacular colour morphs available at somewhat similar pricing,or more depending on the seller's , but i do not think they will drop under 4k for atleast the next decade.
and with the native greens, well i think that these will always be around 50% more expensive and will never be less than 6k each over the same period.
with the albino's on the market i personally think that not all keepers are wanting to purchase them either carpets or olives.
i think different "strokes for different folks" is the correct saying that applies.
there is obviously exceptions to the rule but the majority will have differing likes and dislikes
for me personally, bring on albino woma's or b.h.'s and i reckon i'd shell out for some, but i'm not to keen to buy carpet's or olives, but certainly greens and roughies.
what do you guy's think? |

As for the designer GTPs - it will take a long time before anyone starts producing spectacular and consistent morphs and be wiling to sell them. My guess is at least a decade. |

I meant when they start selling established babys for around the $3000 mark, heaps more people will get into them.
If you only want to make some money, albino carpets would be better. Most blokes i know that breed Chondros only get small clutchs out. Even if Albino carpets drop a bit in value, they still pump out heaps of eggs to make it worthwhile. And they look better than Chondros, imo.
Having said all that, i still think plain green Chondros will still be $1000+ for at least the next 7 years. Maybe more. | | |
