$5000 for established feeders from a reputable breeder is good IMO.
I hope GTP hold their price steadily & don't become cheaper & more common. Last thing we need is GTP being as common as Coastals, because then people will be wanting something different and thats when we will see Carpondro's, Coma's, Chongles etc.

I would like to see GTPs drop to around the $1500-2000 mark. That way all the natural forms of native pythons would be available to everyone at reasonable prices and those that look at the hobby as a cash cow can dip into designer snakes.

Look at Womas as an example, 4 years ago when i bought my pair they set me back 4k now you can pick up a pair for under 1.4k, simply because they were a thing to get now lots of people have them and are breeding them so the production has gone up and the demands not as high.

Bushfire, are a representative of the Snake Keepers Union or have you come from some socialistic republic?
No hard feeling but you sound a bit naive.

Hahaha not naive at all. I know very well how it works. Thats just how Id wished it worked. Realistically no one guessed 10yrs ago how many GTPs are around now so in another 10yrs it wouldnt be unrealistic to guess the pop to increase just as much and prices to drop just as fast.

And was it just a figment of my vivid imagination, or did somebody win the woma of the show recently with a W.A woma in the Gladstone reptile expo a few weeks back?
