In regards with the extra care needed in the husbandry of GTP's keepers have to more aware of the issue of prolapse with these guys. The incubation of the eggs is also frought with potential pitfalls.

People are paying $2000 or more for womas and they go like hotcakes and are in great demand.Personally i prefer bhp's to womas anyday, and i think $6500 is too much for a chondro but i guess it's like people say, it all depends how much you really want one.I know a guy who bought 6 chondros for $6500 last year.I also know a guy who lost a whole clutch of 30, so i guess if others who breed chondros haven't had any luck this season either as pointed out earlier, the price for the ones that have been bred will be even more exy than usual.I know that URS had chondros for $5000 last time they had them approx a bit over a year ago now.So if people are paying 2 grand for womas i think greens are definitely worth every cent of $5000.It's all a matter of personal preference, what may be beautiful to one person might not be as appealing to the next.
I've only handled a few juvenile greens and these guys were as placid as they come. The yellow was so bright. If they stayed yellow as adults or we could get the lemon yellow greens here i'd definitely have a pair in my collection. As far as i know the lemon yellow greens are of PNG origin and i haven't seen the blue phase before, juvenile or adult.I know there are red, brown, and blue juvenile phases from PNG or Indonesian origin and would love to see a pic of a blue juvenile or adult.Does anyone have any pics or know of any sites that show the blue phase greens :

If you're ever down in Brisbane, there is a blue phase adult on display at Australia Zoo.
