Wow, lucky you Paul4... for receiving such positive and friendly comments! I put up a pic of one of my babies going through her change, and some folk had the rudeness to say how ugly she was and how much they disliked her! Now she has finished changing, is a beautiful blend of green, yellow and black, and as divine as any designer chondro from the States! Funnily enough she began her change really early, at 4 months.

What a gorgeous bub you have there! Aren't you just on tenterhooks to know the final result?

The old supply and demand / rarity / Level of difficulty of breeding / hatching eggs / and raising hatchlings all adds the the price of these beautiful little snakes.

I agree to an extent, they aren't really rare in collections and aren't difficult to breed and incubation and hatchling rearing has come so far there shouldn't be too many difficulties. A lot of the value comes from the fact that owners are very secretive about having them so it appears they are in fact a rare species.
With prices coming down like they are they will be available to a much larger number of people in the next couple of years which will help remove some of the mystique surrounding them.
Lovely snakes Paul.

They definitely aren't rising, there were some for under $5000 and apparently some for even less.

greenwillow i would love to see some more pictures! all GTP are great! no such thing as an ugly green!!!! some of the animals in the states are amzing!!! and the gtp hobby in aus will go that way! its clear there arent many full blooded aussies around and thats fine by most keepers so the morphs will become very popular when many keepers are lucky enough to own these herps!!

Smile Gtp

The person in question that had their GTP's stolen actually has a thread running atm offering a reward of a mature pair of GTP's for information that leads to the where abouts of her snakes. Gotta say I would love a pair... Maybe when I win the lotto.
