Guinea Pigs

Just a quick Q
I have been told that Guinea Pigs are great for food. That they aren't fast breeders, the females who have had many ltters wear down and that their fur is no good for the digestive tract of your snake.
Anyone know anymore on this.
It doesn't really matter as my rats are breeding like mad. It's just that dad was given a hutch with a male and female in it the other day for free from a mate at work. My brothers girlfriend has already adopted them, but if they accidently disappeared, the hutch would be good for rabbits.

My computer is quite dull and is only capable of text, but will be going to my friends soon to upload my pics from peru. I'm home safe and am looking into selling my photos, so hopefully you will enjoy them.
Justin

There was a discussion about this a while ago, it's in General Herps under 'good food scources'. Great idea to replace guinea pigs with rabbits- they breed more quickly and our snakes love them. Looking forward to the pics
