You shouldn't touch them at all while they are shedding. Their skin is sensitive, they feel vulnerable and should be left alone until they process is complete.

It can also cause the skin to break and makes it hard for them to shed. best to leave alone when the skin becomes dull and and the eyes are milky as soon as the shed is done is all good to go.

Definetly best to leave them be whilst in shed. Also its argueably a good idea not to feed until after shed.

yea plus when their eyes are milky makes them pretty much blind so they dont always know its you coming into they're enclosure which means more chance of stress and a strike

I had to take my Childrens to the vet one time (jsut for a check-up really).

Unfortunately, the appointment was scheduled when the snake was about to shed. Given that she thrashed around a little bit, the skin got a bit shredded up and looked quite nasty. Still, when she actually shed, it was a fairly clean one.

Generally, i dont like to touch my snakes at all during this process. They seem to hate being molested when in this vulnerable state.

The only time mine seem to mind is when their eyes are blue. After that the ball pythons enjoy a bath and I've had several of my corns shed in my hands.

Just let them be while they are shedding mate. They will be all the better for it.
