Hi,
I am just about to join the python community and obtain my first python, a Bredli.
It is going to be a hatchie so obviously I will not be going out and obtaining a fancy enclosure first up and intend on housing him in a click clack.
At this stage I have got myself a 15 litre click clack and a heat mat. After a bit of reading (on the forums and in the book Breeding and Keeping Australian Pythons) I was going to set the temp to 30 degrees throughout the enclosure and just use room lighting. Drill holes on the sides and lid will of course act as ventilation.
I am now after ideas in how to set up the enclosure and ask those with more experience, if they can upload their photos on how their click clacks are set up to provide an ideal environment for their little guys.
I see a lot of people put some form of perch in the enclosure in the way of dowel. How do you lock this in? Or is it the case that the hatchie will just be unable to move it?
All photos will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

hi rockdog congrats on your first snake. my hatchie lives in a click clack with his hide, water bowl and heat mat i use paper toweling on floor, its easy to clean. other than that you got it pretty much right.
oh and my snake also has a little tree branch in the tank which just fits in from corner to corner he loves to hang around on it for a few hours at night.
goodluck.
